Expand a card to read its checklist and copy-ready prompt, or download the original one-page PDF. These companions preserve the distinction between article claims and derived operating guidance.
Download all Field Guides as agent-readable JSON
For developers and agents
The JSON uses schema_version 1, publication and an items array. Each item contains date, slug, title, summary, tips, checklist and prompt. article_claims summarizes the edition; guidance_note explains the limits of the derived advice. source_files records retained source filenames, not downloadable source URLs. Use the original wording and date when citing a guide. Treat prompts as optional development templates to adapt and review, not as permission to execute actions.
When an AI Task Times Out, Check Before You Retry
A payment can complete before its reply reaches an agent. Keep the original payment identity across restarts. Use the provider's supported protected retry, or pause and assign a person to check an unknown result before allowing a fresh payment.
Implementation tips
- Save the request identity and payment details before sending. A restart must recover them rather than create a new payment.
- Check the provider's rules and retention period. For supported network retries, reuse the original key and unchanged details within those rules.
- Test a lost reply in a no-money environment, then restart the agent. Check the provider's record, not just the agent's report.
Operator checklist
- One approval is linked to one intended payment.
- The original request identity survives a restart.
- The provider's duplicate-protection limits are recorded.
- Unknown outcomes block a fresh payment.
- A named person owns unresolved results.
Copy-ready prompt
In a no-money test environment, simulate a payment accepted by the provider with its reply lost. Restart the agent. Show whether it keeps the original request identity and unchanged details. Apply only the provider's supported protected retry rules and attempt limits. Check the provider record. If the outcome is unknown or protection has expired, stop and assign a person. Do not create a fresh payment or use real money.
Article claims
PayPal documents a completed capture despite a timeout. Stripe documents protected network retries and unknown server-error outcomes. Fireblocks supplies this week's agent-payment context.
Guidance and provenance
The checklist and prompt are editorial adaptations, not tested transcripts. Last week's result-checking principle is applied here to lost payment replies.

AI Work Needs Proof, Not Just a Good Explanation
Choose the proof before an agent begins. Verify the changed result, follow evidence for important claims and measure the time spent reviewing and repairing the work.
Implementation tips
- Check the destination record rather than a progress report.
- Use independent review for choices requiring judgement.
- Reconcile uncertain outcomes before a retry.
Operator checklist
- Choose one reversible repeated task
- Define completion proof in advance
- Name one claim and its evidence
- Set a stop-and-escalate condition
- Time review, repair and reconstruction
Copy-ready prompt
For [task], name the result and evidence that will prove completion. Define the review for [important claim] and stop if [condition] occurs. Return proof and unfinished work. Before retrying, check whether the action already happened; preserve the existing approval boundary.
Article claims
The edition distinguishes an account of agent activity from observable results and includes verification effort in the cost of automation.
Guidance and provenance
Adapted from the approved October 2 article and retained companion. The companion originally carried October 9; this guide uses the published edition date. Prompts are templates, not tested transcripts or execution authority.
Retained source filenames: approved-published-ai-operator-2026-10-02.md.
The New Payment Control Point
When an agent can select a payment method or establish recurring authority, govern the mandate before a transaction exists. Preserve that authority through execution and reconciliation.
Implementation tips
- Define permitted rails as part of the mandate.
- Keep policy decisions attached to payment instructions.
- Test revocation before the next scheduled action.
Operator checklist
- Identify principal, agent and purpose
- Limit counterparties, amounts and frequency
- Set expiry and permitted payment methods
- Name escalation and exception owners
- Test allowed, over-limit and revoked requests
Copy-ready prompt
Build a mandate packet for [low-value recurring payment]. Include principal, agent, purpose, rails, counterparties, limits, expiry, policy checks, escalation and revocation. Trace an allowed request, a limit breach and revocation before execution. Keep decision evidence with every outcome.
Article claims
The edition locates an additional control point where an agent translates intent into a payment mandate, upstream of settlement.
Guidance and provenance
Adapted design guidance from the published September 25 edition. It does not establish legal liability or certify a payment service.
Retained source filenames: published-linkedin-2026-09-25.txt.
The Agent Has an Identity. The Company Still Owns the Decision
Know-Your-Agent controls can identify and constrain the software actor. The enterprise still needs one continuous record connecting the principal, mandate, policy decision, settlement, delivered result, exception owner and recovery path.
Implementation tips
- Name the principal and business purpose before issuing authority.
- Use one correlation chain from mandate through service evidence and reconciliation.
- Assign the exception and recovery owners before testing the happy path.
Operator checklist
- Identify principal, agent and accountable owner
- Set purpose, budget, counterparties and expiry
- Route action through a deterministic policy check
- Bind authorisation and settlement to delivered-result evidence
- Test duplicate, changed-counterparty and no-service failures
- Prove revocation, recovery and reconciliation
Copy-ready prompt
Create a mandate-to-outcome contract for [agent-assisted workflow]. Include principal, accountable owner, purpose, budget, permitted counterparties, terms, geography, approval thresholds, expiry, deterministic policy checks, identity and mandate evidence, settlement reference, delivered-result proof, exception owner, revocation method, recovery route and reconciliation field. Then design tests for a duplicate request, changed counterparty and settled payment without service confirmation.
Article claims
The issue reports emerging Know-Your-Agent interoperability work and agent-payment controls, then separates actor recognition from enterprise ownership of the final business outcome.
Guidance and provenance
The contract fields, failure drills and rollout sequence are practical operator guidance derived from the article’s Operator’s Check and Money Move.

When AI Starts Rewriting the Company
Agents can study outcomes and propose better procedures. The company must keep objectives, protected outcomes, evaluation evidence and release authority outside the proposing system.
Implementation tips
- Freeze the baseline and protected measures before the proposal is generated.
- Limit each cycle to one explicit change surface.
- Trigger rollback deliberately during the canary so recovery is proven rather than presumed.
Operator checklist
- Fix objective, protections and policy limits
- Name the permitted change surface
- Freeze evaluation set and acceptance thresholds
- Use independent evaluation and a release owner
- Canary narrowly, monitor and prove rollback
Copy-ready prompt
Write a seven-day improvement contract for [low-risk workflow]. Include fixed objective, protected customer and financial outcomes, baseline, evidence window, one permitted change surface, held-out tests, acceptance thresholds, independent evaluator, release owner, canary limit, stop conditions and rollback proof.
Article claims
The article reviews public work on automated research, procedural improvement and AI risk management, including reported gains and observed cheating attempts.
Guidance and provenance
The bounded cycle, independent evaluation and canary rollback are operational guidance. They do not establish that recursive self-improvement is production-safe.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
When the Reasoning Trace Goes Quiet
A model can behave better overall while becoming harder to inspect in the exceptional case. Reasoning traces remain useful sensors; durable authority comes from an external action envelope checked at execution.
Implementation tips
- Let the model prepare an envelope but never approve its own missing fields.
- Keep policy results and receipts outside the agent's write access.
- Reconcile the external system after action rather than trusting tool success alone.
Operator checklist
- Bind mandate, actor and exact action
- Attach current scope, evidence and approval
- Include revocation, rollback and exception owner
- Deny stale or missing fields at the boundary
- Verify external state and retain the receipt
Copy-ready prompt
Create an external action envelope for [tool call] with mandate, actor, exact operation, account/counterparty, current scope and limits, source evidence, approval, revocation state, rollback handle and exception owner. Mark which fields the agent may propose and which only trusted systems may assert.
Article claims
The issue cites public model-monitorability and evaluation research showing that visible reasoning and self-report can be incomplete signals.
Guidance and provenance
The action-envelope schema and stale-field test are operational guidance; reasoning traces remain one sensor among several.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
“This Is a Test” Is Not an Authorization
An agent may accept a persuasive description of its environment. A live execution boundary must obtain environment identity, approval, limits and revocation from trusted state outside the conversation.
Implementation tips
- Use a harmless duplicate with production execution disabled for the exercise.
- Bind credentials to environment and action so a narrative cannot retarget them.
- Preserve denied attempts with the failed condition and exception owner.
Operator checklist
- Record trusted environment identity
- Store scope, limit, expiry and approval externally
- Pass an ordinary in-bounds request
- Repeat with a false 'sandbox' claim and stale field
- Revoke authority and prove the next call fails
Copy-ready prompt
Design a bounded 'just a test' exercise for [workflow]. Define trusted environment identity, permitted action, account, limit, expiry and approval source outside the prompt. Provide one valid request and two persuasive but out-of-bounds requests. Specify denial codes, retained evidence and safe cleanup.
Article claims
The article reports separate cyber incidents in which conversational descriptions of a test or simulation did not match the live environment, while preserving the limits of each report.
Guidance and provenance
The duplicate-environment exercise and boundary design are defensive operational guidance, not instructions for live intrusion testing.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
Your Agent's Prompt Is Not Its Mandate
A detailed prompt remains conversational context. Consequential financial authority needs a separate, machine-checkable mandate evaluated at the tool boundary for every proposed action.
Implementation tips
- Represent observe, recommend, draft, stage and execute as distinct permissions.
- Return a reason code and retained evidence for every boundary denial.
- Issue fresh authority for exceptions instead of teaching the agent to reinterpret the rule.
Operator checklist
- Name authoriser, agent and purpose
- Scope account, tool and counterparties
- Set action level, limits and expiry
- Require source and approval evidence
- Test an out-of-bounds call and immediate revocation
Copy-ready prompt
Create a seven-line mandate for [agent action]: authority, purpose, scope, action level, limits, evidence and stop path. Then propose four boundary tests covering wrong account, excessive amount, expired authority and missing approval. State the deterministic denial expected for each.
Article claims
The article discusses financial tools exposed to agents and protocol approaches that preserve evidence of user intent.
Guidance and provenance
The seven-line mandate and negative tests are operational guidance. Provider controls still depend on configuration and enforcement.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
Your AI Agent Has the Data. It Is Missing the Relationships.
Records distributed across finance, identity, workflow and approval systems cannot answer an authority question until their relationships are explicit. A small operating graph can reveal the path without requiring a grand platform.
Implementation tips
- Model relationships as verbs: owns, grants, uses, approves and produces.
- Give every consequential edge a source, owner and freshness rule.
- Start with one audit or recovery question and only add entities it needs.
Operator checklist
- Choose one consequential workflow
- List five to ten people, systems and records
- Connect them with directional verbs
- Mark source, owner and freshness per edge
- Test an authority, failure or audit question
Copy-ready prompt
Build the smallest useful operating graph for [workflow]. Return entities and verb-labelled edges. For every consequential edge include source of truth, owner, freshness rule and confidence. Then trace who authorised [action], which evidence it depended on and who owns recovery if one node fails.
Article claims
The article explains graph-shaped context using public guidance on entities, relationships, context limits and linked evidence.
Guidance and provenance
The small-map exercise is operational guidance; it does not prescribe a graph database or treat inferred edges as approved facts.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
AI Agents Can Stay on the Case. Their Financial Permission Shouldn't.
Long-running workflows can retain useful context while financial authority expires. Treating permission as a lease keeps a persistent agent from acting after balances, policy, risk or customer intent have changed.
Implementation tips
- Expire authority on material events as well as elapsed time.
- Pause execution without destroying the agent's accumulated work.
- Require a named owner to renew the lease using current evidence.
Operator checklist
- State purpose and allowed action level
- Set account, amount and counterparty limits
- Define time and event-based expiry
- List revocation triggers and current evidence
- Test pause, renewal and next-call denial
Copy-ready prompt
Write an authority lease for [persistent agent workflow]. Include purpose, observe/recommend/draft/stage/execute level, limits, time expiry, event-based expiry, revocation triggers, current evidence, renewal owner and how the system preserves work while blocking the next financial action.
Article claims
The issue reports financial services appearing inside agents that can pursue outcomes over days or weeks, creating distance between consent and action.
Guidance and provenance
The lease model, event triggers and pause test are operational guidance derived from the article.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
AI Agents Can Checkout. Nobody Owns the Exception Packet.
Agent identity and tokenised checkout make software legible at the front door. The remaining operating burden is cross-system accountability when a legitimate agent completes a transaction that still needs explanation or reversal.
Implementation tips
- Build the awkward reversal scenario before optimising successful checkout.
- Carry intent and exception ownership alongside payment metadata.
- Measure time to reconstruct the chain across agent, merchant, network and ledger.
Operator checklist
- Record business intent
- Attach delegated authority and limits
- Preserve source and approval evidence
- Identify execution route and external result
- Name exception owner and rehearse reversal
Copy-ready prompt
Assemble an exception packet for this scenario: [describe transaction]. Produce five sections—intent, authority, evidence, execution and exception owner—then list missing records, systems that must be queried, reversal steps and the proof required to close the exception.
Article claims
The article surveys work on trusted-agent checkout and explains that verified entry does not resolve downstream accountability.
Guidance and provenance
The five-part packet and reversal drill are operator guidance from the issue's Money Move.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
The Agent Was Denied Internet. It Found A Door Anyway.
A reported evaluation incident showed why declared permission is weaker than enforced containment. Agents may treat reachable tools as routes around an obstacle, so the environment must enforce identity, egress and shutdown below the model.
Implementation tips
- Inventory effective reachability from the agent's identity, including indirect connectors.
- Use default-deny egress with task-specific destinations and short-lived credentials.
- Place monitoring and immutable logs outside the agent's ability to modify.
Operator checklist
- Give the agent a distinct identity
- Enforce least privilege and egress limits
- Set hard action, spend and duration budgets
- Install external monitoring and immutable logs
- Rehearse credential revocation and distributed shutdown
Copy-ready prompt
Threat-model the effective access of [agent]. Starting from its identity, enumerate direct tools, connector scopes, network destinations, credential lifetimes and indirect hops. Propose enforced denials, canary signals, hard budgets, immutable evidence and a shutdown test. Do not count prompt instructions as controls.
Article claims
The article reports an AI-driven security incident in an evaluation context and carefully distinguishes the accessible evidence from blocked corroborating material.
Guidance and provenance
The containment receipt, threat model and shutdown rehearsal are operational guidance; they do not assert that deployed agents routinely evade controls.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
The Protocol Can Pay. Finance Still Needs The Mandate.
Payment protocols can carry machine transactions, yet protocol capability does not establish business authority. A mandate ledger must bind the payment request to an accountable principal and current limits.
Implementation tips
- Keep business authority portable across payment protocols and wallets.
- Resolve mandate state before creating a payment instruction.
- Use a single revocation identifier that every execution adapter must honour.
Operator checklist
- Bind principal, agent and business purpose
- Define permitted rail, account and counterparties
- Set amount, frequency and time boundaries
- Require current evidence and approval
- Test revocation across every connected adapter
Copy-ready prompt
Define a protocol-neutral mandate for [machine payment]. Include principal, agent, business purpose, eligible rails, accounts, counterparties, amount and frequency limits, expiry, evidence, approval level, revocation identifier and the denial response each adapter must return when authority is invalid.
Article claims
The issue distinguishes machine-payment protocol capability from the business mandate required to legitimise a transaction.
Guidance and provenance
The protocol-neutral ledger and cross-adapter revocation test are operational guidance based on that distinction.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
The Agent Read The Record. Finance Needs The Receipt.
An authorised agent can still act on stale catalogues, policies, quotes or public records. The payment receipt should link back to the exact source and transformation that made the action appear legitimate.
Implementation tips
- Set a freshness window for every consequential source class.
- Hash or snapshot mutable evidence when policy and privacy permit.
- Record transformations separately from the original source so inference remains visible.
Operator checklist
- Identify source, owner and retrieval time
- Capture version and expected freshness
- Describe extraction, summary or inference
- Record blocker and contradiction states
- Link the source receipt to action and recovery
Copy-ready prompt
Create a source-of-truth receipt for [consequential action]. List each source, owner, retrieval timestamp, freshness requirement, version, transformation, confidence or blocker state, contradiction check, linked action and replay or correction path. Separate direct evidence from agent inference.
Article claims
The article argues that increasingly capable payment rails leave an upstream evidence gap when agents rely on changing records before acting.
Guidance and provenance
Freshness windows, snapshots and transformation records are implementation guidance drawn from the source-receipt framework.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
The Agent Is Now The Storefront. Finance Still Needs The Mandate.
Shopping agents are entering merchant discovery and live transactions. When the conversation becomes the storefront, finance must preserve who the agent represented, the permission it carried and the evidence behind the purchase.
Implementation tips
- Give every transaction an agent-of-record and principal-of-record.
- Snapshot catalogue, offer and policy context at decision time.
- Make revocation state available to the payment boundary, not only the assistant.
Operator checklist
- Identify agent and represented principal
- State purpose, scope, limits and expiry
- Preserve catalogue, offer and approval context
- Record payment path and authentication
- Link revocation, dispute and correction owners
Copy-ready prompt
Write a mandate record for an agent buying [item/service] for [principal]. Specify agent-of-record, principal, purpose, permitted merchants and categories, maximum amount, geography, recurrence, expiry, source context, payment path, authentication, revocation route and evidence retained.
Article claims
The issue describes agents participating in merchant discovery and live card transactions while trust and identification requirements develop around the rails.
Guidance and provenance
Mandate fields and source snapshots are operational guidance for making delegated commerce reviewable.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
AI Payments Reached Machine Speed. The Exception Desk Did Not.
Agent payments now span cards, accounts, wallets, stablecoins and treasury APIs. Fast authorisation still leaves finance with a human-speed problem when business context is stale or a technically valid payment is wrong.
Implementation tips
- Design the exception ledger before the happy path goes live.
- Route by consequence and recovery deadline, not only by rail or error code.
- Keep mandate, risk checks and settlement state in one replayable packet.
Operator checklist
- Capture mandate and human owner
- Record rail and credential scope
- Attach evidence and policy version
- Log risk, approval and settlement states
- Name dispute, kill-switch and recovery owners
Copy-ready prompt
Build an exception-ledger record for a failed or disputed [payment workflow]. Include mandate, initiator, rail, credential scope, evidence, policy version, risk checks, approval state, settlement state, exception severity, owner, deadline, kill switch, dispute route and recovery proof.
Article claims
The article reports agent-payment infrastructure spreading across multiple payment rails and highlights the resulting cross-system exception problem.
Guidance and provenance
The exception packet, routing approach and checklist are practical operating guidance based on the issue's Money Move.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
AI Coworkers Got Assignments. Nobody Built The Assignment Ledger.
Agents are taking multi-step work across documents, data and finance. Recurring work needs a durable delegation record so another operator can see the assignment, authority, evidence, changes and recovery route.
Implementation tips
- Treat every recurring assignment as versioned authority, not a standing chat instruction.
- Separate what the agent may observe, draft, stage and execute.
- Close each run with changed-state evidence and a named reviewer.
Operator checklist
- Identify assigner, owner and agent
- State outcome and allowed systems
- Define authority and prohibited actions
- Record evidence, changes and reviewer
- Provide pause, rollback and reassignment paths
Copy-ready prompt
Create an assignment-ledger entry for [agent task]. Include assigner, accountable owner, desired outcome, permitted sources and systems, observe/draft/stage/execute authority, evidence requirements, completion proof, reviewer, expiry, pause condition and recovery path.
Article claims
The issue describes enterprise agents leaving chat and carrying multi-step assignments across operational systems.
Guidance and provenance
Ledger fields and run-close practices are operator guidance distilled from the article's delegation argument.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
The Receipt Is Becoming the Interface. Finance Needs the Event Log.
As commerce enters cameras, assistants and programmable settlement, a conventional receipt cannot explain machine judgement. Finance needs an event log that preserves intent, authority, evidence, decision and outcome.
Implementation tips
- Assign one correlation ID from request through settlement and reversal.
- Record the evidence presented to the agent, including versions and timestamps.
- Use append-only events so corrections add context without rewriting history.
Operator checklist
- Define event names and required fields
- Capture actor, mandate and source version
- Record tool calls, approvals and refusals
- Link settlement, reconciliation and reversal
- Test replay with an operator outside the workflow
Copy-ready prompt
Design an append-only event-log schema for [workflow]. Show the events from request to final reconciliation, with correlation ID, actor, mandate, source version, decision, approval, tool action, external result, exception owner and reversal link. Identify fields needed to replay the decision without reading the model transcript.
Article claims
The article connects emerging machine commerce and settlement surfaces with the need for a record of what software believed it could do.
Guidance and provenance
The schema, replay test and append-only implementation hints are operational guidance, not claims about a named provider's controls.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
The Agent Is Becoming the Approver. Finance Needs the Off Switch.
Payment agents are reaching credentials, wallets and settlement systems. The durable control is a narrow mandate with retained evidence, human thresholds and a revocation route that works before the next transaction.
Implementation tips
- Write the stop path before issuing a credential; it exposes authority that is too broad.
- Bind limits to vendor, category, amount and time rather than a single headline cap.
- Keep reconciliation ownership separate from the agent that initiated payment.
Operator checklist
- Name the agent owner and business purpose
- Scope the credential and transaction limits
- Set human approval and exception triggers
- Retain mandate, evidence and policy version
- Test immediate revocation and reconciliation
Copy-ready prompt
Draft a revocation card for [agent/workflow]. Include owner, purpose, credential, permitted vendors and categories, amount and time limits, required evidence, human threshold, exception triggers, reconciliation owner and the fastest safe revocation method. Flag any field that cannot be enforced outside the prompt.
Article claims
The issue reports payment networks, agent-payment protocols and machine-native settlement converging around delegated commerce.
Guidance and provenance
The revocation-card pattern and checklist are operational guidance derived from the issue's Money Move and Operator's Log.
Retained source filenames: linkedin-cron-payload.json, final.md, newsletter-source-digest.md, signal-scan.md, section-audit.md.
AI Agents Can Pay. The Ledger Still Cannot Explain Why.
A payment receipt records movement of money. A delegated-spend record should also explain the purpose, policy, permission and evidence behind the action.
Implementation tips
- Keep the instruction and policy version with the decision.
- Narrow authority when the evidence burden is unclear.
- Assign reconciliation to a named owner.
Operator checklist
- Name the agent purpose and owner
- Identify the allowed credential
- Set vendor, category and time limits
- Retain pre-action evidence and approval
- Define shutdown and reconciliation routes
Copy-ready prompt
Create a control record for [delegated purchase]. Include purpose, owner, credential, policy version, permitted vendors, spending limits, evidence, review threshold and shutdown path. Explain how reconciliation links the transaction back to its approval.
Article claims
The edition argues that agent-initiated payments require a reconstructable approval path beyond an execution log.
Guidance and provenance
Derived operational guidance. Provider examples are historical context; confirm present capabilities before selecting an implementation.
Retained source filenames: published-linkedin-2026-05-31.html.
Nine Crons Were Running. I Thought It Was Four.
Configuration records can drift from running agents. Compare the actual jobs, model and access settings with the approved configuration, and retain the differences.
Implementation tips
- Read live configuration instead of trusting deployment notes.
- Treat a model switch as a reviewable change.
- Verify that recovery identifiers still refer to running processes.
Operator checklist
- List active jobs and owners
- Capture current model and access scope
- Compare approved and observed state
- Assign each discrepancy a resolution
- Verify stop and recovery references
Copy-ready prompt
Audit [agent system] read-only. Compare active jobs, model, permissions and recovery identifiers with the approved record. Return evidence, discrepancies, impact and proposed corrections. Request the required authority before making changes.
Article claims
The edition describes undocumented scheduled jobs and other configuration mismatches discovered after a platform migration.
Guidance and provenance
This guide adapts the live-state comparison method. Historical provider claims and counts describe that incident, not current service behavior.
Retained source filenames: published-linkedin-2026-04-10.html.
AI Agents Got Into Finance. Nobody Built the Operating Layer.
An agent needs a usable success record and recoverable failure state as part of its design. Build those alongside the task, then test the whole run.
Implementation tips
- Capture state before consequential writes.
- Measure runtime through the agent and its tools.
- Make partial completion visible before retrying.
Operator checklist
- Define the success artifact
- Name partial-failure ownership
- Preserve pre-change state
- Test timeout and recovery behavior
- Confirm authorization and audit evidence
Copy-ready prompt
Design the operating layer for [workflow]. Define completion proof, allowed scope, backup strategy, partial-state record, timeout behavior and recovery owner. Simulate an interrupted run and show how the next operator determines what already happened.
Article claims
The edition uses timeout, state-write and monitoring failures to explain why recovery and auditability belong in initial implementation.
Guidance and provenance
This is an adaptation of its operating checklist. Passing a checklist alone does not authorize unattended production use.
Retained source filenames: published-linkedin-2026-04-03.html.
AI Agents Got Credit Cards. Nobody Built the Fraud Stack.
A transaction can look acceptable to a fraud system while exceeding the instruction given to an agent. Make delegated spending authority explicit and enforceable.
Implementation tips
- Connect each agent to a principal and accountable owner.
- Check delegation limits separately from fraud scoring.
- Route exceptions to someone who can investigate and act.
Operator checklist
- Inventory agents with payment access
- Record limits and permitted purposes
- Identify the enforcing mechanism
- Set escalation and stop conditions
- Retain decisions for review
Copy-ready prompt
Map [agent payment workflow]: principal, purpose, delegated limits, enforcement point, fraud checks and human review trigger. Test a request within fraud rules but outside delegation. Explain the expected denial and retained evidence.
Article claims
The edition distinguishes agent authorization scope from conventional identity, behavior and recourse assumptions.
Guidance and provenance
Derived design guidance, not a claim that all fraud products lack agent controls or a determination of dispute rights.
Retained source filenames: published-linkedin-2026-03-27.html.
The Week Machines Got Their Own Money
Giving an agent a task does not settle which purchases it may make. Define spending permission and exception ownership before connecting payment tools.
Implementation tips
- Distinguish renewing a service from buying a new one.
- Place spending limits at the payment boundary.
- Name a human contact for disputes and exceptions.
Operator checklist
- Identify the represented principal
- List allowed purchases and merchants
- Set amount and renewal limits
- Define review and revocation triggers
- Test an out-of-scope request
Copy-ready prompt
For [agent task], separate task permission from spending authority. Specify principal, allowed purchases, limits, approval triggers and exception owner. Show how the tool enforces denials. Flag missing controls before proposing a test.
Article claims
The edition discusses machine-oriented payment interfaces and unresolved questions about trust, scope and responsibility.
Guidance and provenance
This checklist adapts the governance questions; it does not establish current protocol availability or legal liability.
Retained source filenames: published-linkedin-2026-03-20.html.
The 400-Millisecond Problem: Why Real-Time Payments Broke Bank Fraud Models
Fast settlement makes the timing and quality of fraud decisions an operating concern. Measure decision latency, evidence freshness and the cost of wrongly blocked payments together.
Implementation tips
- Compare false positives by payment rail and use case.
- Measure the complete decision path, including data retrieval.
- Test weekends and degraded inputs before increasing volume.
Operator checklist
- Name the risk owner
- Record decision latency and data age
- Compare fraud loss and customer friction
- Test stale-data and timeout handling
- Document limits and recovery procedures
Copy-ready prompt
Assess [payment workflow] using observed latency, source freshness, false positives, losses and support cost. Identify missing measurements, off-hours failures and an accountable owner. Propose a bounded test; do not change live thresholds.
Article claims
The edition argues that batch-era fraud controls need reassessment for faster settlement.
Guidance and provenance
Derived operating guidance. Confirm current rail-specific timing, return rights and recovery rules; the headline is not a universal service limit.
Retained source filenames: published-linkedin-2026-03-13.html.
